I had been wanting a little deep fryer for a while. I was tired of greasing up my kitchen whenever I fried chicken or whatever.I found this one for a reasonable price and picked it up.
First thing you should know, it's small. (which is what I wanted) It holds about a half gallon of oil. It only cooks enough for one or two people in one batch.
Second thing, it's extremely easy to use and clean. I love the removable oil bucket. It's easy to strain the oil and wash all the parts.
Third, it's small enough to leave on your counter if you use it several times a week.
Fourth, I love not getting everything around it covered with grease splatters.
The only gripe I have, and it's a small one, is that the timer doesn't beep. It only shuts off the fryer at the end of the time. So, I have to set a kitchen timer to remind me to check on the fryer. It's a great safety feature, but it's a lousy timer.
As for tips in using it, USE PEANUT OIL exclusively. I've found that peanut oil, while more expensive, has practically no odor, while vegetable oil/canola oil seriously stinks. The food tastes better, too.
Forget the frozen french fries. Just keep some Idaho potatoes on hand and when you want fries, while the oil is heating up, wash a couple of small potatoes, cut off any blemishes, then just cut in slices or rounds, dry off and put in the oil when it is heated up. Takes about 10 minutes from start to finish and the fries are soooo much better. Easy to make chips, too. Just cut the potatoes thinner. Nothing better than homemade chips sprinkled with some crumbled blue cheese, goat cheese or feta.
Forget buying tortilla chips! Buy a bag of corn tortillas, cut into wedges and make your own. You will never buy a bag of tortilla chips again.
For chicken fingers, I just take a zip lock bag and add a cup of flour, some salt and pepper (cayenne pepper if I want it spicy) and take a package of chicken tenders, wash them off and throw them in the bag. I shake the bag until they are covered, then lay them on some paper towels to "set" while the oil heats. about 10 minutes later I've got chicken fingers to rival Chick-fil-A.

I have had this fryer for a week and a half and used it half a dozen times so far. The performance is good, fast to heat up and recovery time when food is added is quick. Clean up is a breeze, everything except the immersion heater and control can go in the dishwasher. It is adequate size for one person or for sides (e.g., onion rings) for several people. Frozen onion rings and buffalo wings come out much better than baking while scratch-made french fries and doughnuts are great. Very happy I got it.
For this price there are better ones out there

The EuroPro 2L Deep Fryer is okay if you don't mind having a fryer that was slapped on together without quality testing. The fryer that I received had a dent in the control panel. It does not affect functionality and I am probably just unlucky but believe the panel is of poor quality. Second, the control unit with the circuit boards is exposed where the slot is to attach to the main stainless steel bucket. I can imagine water getting splashed in there. It could have been sealed so that the circuit boards are not exposed. Third, the timer does not beep and requires a kitchen timer or you will forget and your fries will be rocks. Fourth, the level of heat stops at 375. I purchased food before that requires 400 degrees but this machine only goes to 375. Finally, the top lid has a hole near the control panel so water/steam condenses on the timer and blurs it up. I had to keep wiping the control panel to see the timer. There are better deep fryers out there for this price!

First the company gets the product very very cheap, around $5. Don' believe it, oh well, i have done lots of research, this items are shiped to the US very cheap, is ok, it is call business, and i understand all the stuff they have to pay, but above all that they take advantage, beside the expensive price that you pay, you get a piece of junk, for , or it brakes, or stop working, or the material is poor quality, the style looks good but when you get to have it in your hands and tested that is another story. This is why before buying inthe internet , shop around the internet, do research, compare prices, quality, check the consumer report on products this is very helpful, go to the store and check it out first and if is convenient and better price online then go for it. Well , hope my review help you all, next time buy your items directly from china it is very cheap and easy, I haven't had a problem yet. Thanks G. DHgate.com honestly check it out.
Gets Ruined Quickly, No Warranty Support Either

This deep fryer worked well for the first few times I used it. Eventually, it started working sporadically, and I would have to press the button many times before it finally turned on. Then, it stopped working completely. I called for support, but they never answer. If you call the number, then press 3 for customer support, the call will end and you will never get to talk to a representative.
Basically, save your money for a better fryer and a better brand in general that actually provides the support that they promise their customers when they sell the product. |
This does not deserve a rating at all - 0 star.

I have the 1066 Deep Fryer. Initially it worked sporadically, I couldn't figure out the trick, my son in law said the safety feature made it very important to get the control panel on "just so". Didn't matter, I never got it to work, (he did, once)so I ordered a replacement control panel. I was pretty excited on new Year's to have Egg Rolls - NOT! This time the control panel lit up like it was going to work, but the heating element remained cold. The reset button, which I've been told to push over and over again by the customer service people doesn't work either! I've had the replacement control panel nearly 6 weeks. I called wanting to return it and try ONE more time - but they wanted me to BUY another! When I repled with never mind, I'll throw this away and buy something American made, she offered me the 1052 model for 19.00 After reading the review about quality... I think I'll throw it away.
