Very Durable Great Value!
|
| Review Date: May 4, 2010 |
| Reviewer: T. Johnson, |
| I was very pleased when I removed this fry basket from the box and noticed how heavy it is. This is how items should be made. No flimsy handles or loose fitting pieces. It cleans well and the handle is long enough to stay cool when making fries. The basket is the perfect size for the Presto slow cooker/friers and much better quality than the basket that comes with the Presto. Another Amazon great value at a great price! |
Well-crafted large fry basket

| Review Date: January 2, 2010 |
| Reviewer: T. Hartman, Allen, TX |
| This basket has a very sturdy frame, almost a little heavy. The mesh is not quite as sturdy but is fine for the job it needs to do. The whole thing is very shiny with lots of silvery metallic plating. It looks like it will last for many years. |

| Fry basket is sturdy and well made. The only thing I wish they'd have done different was to add a little hook that would allow you to hang it inside the pan once food is cooked so you can allow some of the oil to drip back into the fryer. Other than that the pan works as expected. |

Sturdy frame but basket is shoddy
|
| Review Date: August 5, 2010 |
| Reviewer: MiCasaLay, On the lake... |
| The frame is heavy-duty and won't fold under a big load, but the wires that make up the basket are poorly finished. Some of the ends terminate in the middle with no means of support, so they can get bent in or out and present a cutting/poking hazard - I cut my finger on one. Also, they are not very rigid, so they easily become unevenly spaced apart. I returned this item to Amazon and purchased the Lodge version, which has much better construction and finish. |

Good Turkey Fryer
|
| Review Date: January 3, 2007 |
| Reviewer: B. Hughes, Marietta, Georgia United States |
I received this after thanksgiving so I had to bake my turkey. But over Thanksgiving weekend we had a lot of expected company and others stayed over. We used this to fry a turkey on Saturday and this works real well.
Great product and a great price. |
My only regret is not getting this one first
|
| Review Date: May 7, 2010 |
| Reviewer: K. Robertson, |
If you're thinking of buying aluminum because it's cheaper, think again. This stainless steel pot will last longer, be MUCH easier to clean and will not retain seafood odor, nor will aluminum leach into your food.
The included basket fits like a glove (unlike my King Kooker aluminum pot, which sold the basket separately), and can also function as a steamer. The rack fits right into the basket for easy storage. I only regret that I bought the other pot first because it was cheaper, but certainly not a better value! |
Great pot for deep frying and steamers.

| Review Date: July 13, 2010 |
| Reviewer: 10YearEer, |
| So far I have fried whole chickens, chicken wings, and french fries in this pot. I have also used it to do seafood steamer pots. It has worked great and is easy to clean up. |
Love the Fryer

| Review Date: July 29, 2010 |
| Reviewer: Rosie, |
| We ordered this fryer after purchasing the smaller version - the fish fryer. We wanted the versatility of being able to use both pans. We were excited it included the stainless steel basket. The other fryers were looked at didn't and then you needed to order it separetely. We love it - it was exactly what we expected. |

Good Quality; Low on Features for the Price
|
| Review Date: November 25, 2007 |
| Reviewer: Handy Man88, East Coast |
I bought the Stainless Steel fry pot because SS is a better conductor, stronger metal compared to Aluminum, and cleans better. But, there's a heckuva price premium. I found the pot to be very sturdy and great quality, but three things bothered me somewhat:
1) The thermometer clip that comes with that pot is poorly designed. Once the thermometer is inserted on the lip of the pot, it direct the thermometer at an angle towards the center of the pot. Sure, the temperature reading is more accurate at the center, but this makes it difficult to remove the bird without first pushing the thermometer tip to the side of the pot. You'd rather not try to remove the thermometer as the pot is hot and you could splash the oil.
2) At this price, I would expect some fry baskets, but none were included. Without these, you have to try to fish out small items that you are frying such as fries, mozzarella sticks, etc. It can get hazardous. Prefer not to use the steam basket as a fry basket.
3) I coupled this pot with the BC Single Burner Outdoor Patio Stove, but even with this high BTU burner, it took a little more than 1/3 of my propane tank to heat peanut oil (2/3 full) up to 300F with an outdoor temp of 55F. Thus, with a full propane tank, you might be able to fry one turkey during the fall without changing tanks.
Overall, this pot is better quality than the Aluminum pot, but not really worth the high price, especially since it's not part of a combo pot/burner. |

Product Description |
| Housed in attractive stainless steel, this versatile cooker prepares a variety of foods and makes it easy to get dinner on the table quickly. The all-in-one appliance operates as a deep fryer, a steamer, and a slow cooker. Steaming and boiling retain foods' moisture, while frying sears food, making it crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. When frying, the unit's roomy basket and deep oil level combine to accommodate a 2-pound bag of frozen fries or an entire 4-1/2-pound chicken. A complete chicken can be fried in about 35 minutes, quicker than oven roasting or rotisserie, making it a perfect choice for hectic weeknight meals. For added convenience, the basket can be raised and lowered with the lid in place, avoiding messy splatter and protecting the hands. The basket contains a hook to hold it above the liquid, which allows oil or water to drain off the food. Other details include a 5-quart liquid capacity, a digital timer, adjustable temperature control, ready lights, and a breakaway cord, which helps prevent the cooker from tipping over if the cord gets snagged. The unit assembles in no time and disassembles easily, making cleanup a snap. The multi-cooker appliance measures approximately 15 by 15 by 17 inches and carries a one-year warranty. |

The best fried chicken!
|
| Review Date: January 2, 2010 |
| Reviewer: lizellis, Virginia |
Although this versatile appliance will steam and boil as well as deep fry, it was its frying ability that caught my interest and convinced me to buy it. And am I glad I did for last night we enjoyed some of the best fried chicken ever to come out of my kitchen. And yes, that's saying something. While we don't overindulge in fried foods, through the years I've fried my share of chicken, most of it to positive reviews. This batch was particularly moist and juicy, yet crisp on the outside, a fact which I attribute, at least in part, to the adjustable temperature gauge on the Multicooker. None of my other deep fryers had that feature. With the others, I was forced to rely on the manufacturers' preset temperature which I suspect wasn't really hot enough to prevent the chicken from absorbing some of the oil and becoming somewhat soggy. The Multicooker allows a range of 250° to 375 ° F. I set it at 375° as the manual suggests and the results were mouthwatering.
As for capacity, it's generous. The basket measures roughly 8" long by 7" wide and 3 1/2" deep. I was able to fit 4 large chicken thighs per batch with room to spare. I'm sure I could have added two more but I preferred to err on the side of caution to avoid overcrowding. Because the chicken was boneless and skinless, each batch only took about 10 minutes and was perfectly done. I fried three batches back-to-back and had no problems with the fryer overheating.
Deep frying is usually messy no matter how careful you try to be but my experience in that department was pretty positive too. The cooker is solidly built and simple to assemble. The lid fits the pot securely and the basket is easy to raise and lower with the lid in place, which greatly reduces spattering and the risk of burns.
I have no doubt that I'll use the Multicooker for boiling and steaming at some point but if all it ever did was deep fry, I'd still consider it money well spent.

Deni Deep Fryer Snack Size
|
| Review Date: May 14, 2007 |
| Reviewer: M. Banks, |
| I just love this cute little deep fryer. It is a perfect size for 1 0r 2 people. It beats having to heat up the big deep fryers just to have some french fries or chicken nuggets. It's also easy to strain the oil out, wipe the fryer out and pour the oil back in. |
So far so good.

I was a little worried about the quality but so far this has been a great unit. Perfect for small jobs. There are only two of us and this unit does the job perfectly.
Edit: Broke. Lasted 6 months. We used it a lot but still... Maybe we got a lemon but it is only worth 3 or 4 stars now. |
Great little work horse.

| Reviewer: Gail Smith, Tampa, Fl USA |
| I have a larger fryer and it works just fine. I don't use it much because it is big, bulky and a pain to clean. This little guy is great for one or two people. It doesn't take up much space so I leave it on the counter. The adjustable thermostat lets me cook things at the correct temperature so they come out great, just like the big one. When I need to clean it, it is an easy task. The big one is fine for when I have people over and I'm cooking for 5 or six people but for one or two people, this little one is great. I highly recommend it even if you do have the larger deep fryer like I do. |

| I bought this for my fiance as a Valentine's present, and he adores it! Now he can help in the kitchen without getting in the way or ruining dinner. :) It works wonderfully, and the first thing he made was country fried steak, which was AMAZING! So yes, this is very recommended. |

| This little deep fryer works better than most larger ones. It maintains temperature well and the thermstat is a big plus. I also love the RED indicator light that tells you when the desired temperature is reached. This is an excellent value because you don't use a lot of oil. The basket is large enough to make more than enough food for one person. I loved it so much I bought a second one. Now I can double up on the same thing or make wings in one and fries in the other. |

As other customers already said in their reviews on this product, this small fryer is great. If you just want to fry some french fries or fish for you, this fryer is exactly what you need: it reaches the frying temperature quickly and it requires a small amount of oil. Also, it is easy to be cleaned. Considering the cost, it is a big deal!
